There’s something magical about a St. Augustine wedding. Perhaps we are partial since we live in this great city, but being surrounded by the historical past and the excitement of the present creates a mood that perfectly suits a wedding.

So it should come as no surprise that one of our favorite weddings this month was in St. Augustine. We were excited to shoot at The White Room for the marriage of Priscilla and Klint. Priscilla and Klint have a little magic behind their story as well – they were engaged on their one year anniversary, and their September 13th wedding was the two year anniversary from the day they met. It was so wonderful to see the love between this young couple, and the closeness of their family and friends.

We love all of the natural light that The White Room has, which makes for gorgeous photos. And don’t you just love their wedding details?

Priscilla and Klint made sure they had time for pictures of the two of them. We walked around some back streets in St. Augustine and captured some beautiful moments between the happy couple. When scheduling your wedding, we highly recommend factoring in time for pictures between the ceremony and reception – whether they are of just the two of you or formals with the whole bridal party.

On her wedding, Priscilla told us that they “had a great time and felt very loved on our day. It was my fairy tale day. And, our pictures are a treasure”! It was such a pleasure to shoot this wedding, and we hope to see Priscilla and Klint in the future!

We recently launched our new website, which features our latest work and some older favorites. But we couldn’t fit everything into the new website, so we wanted to share more of our favorite images.

We’ll have a new category each week, and this week is location family photography. Enjoy!

Karen recently had the joy of photographing three sisters who are all expecting. Elishia, the oldest, used a Favorite Photography gift certificate she had won at a YMCA charity auction. We love being able to help out the Jacksonville community and having the opportunity to create lasting memories for this family.

Karen enjoyed photographing the lovely three sisters and thinks it is wonderful that the cousins will be so close in age. Coming from a big family herself, Karen has one cousin within a week of her birth date and another close cousin born later that same year. Family is such an important part of our lives and we feel so lucky to be able to help capture these special moments.

Don’t you just love the dress colors the sisters chose? They each stand out on their own, and they also create a complimentary balance to each other.

The three sisters were recently featured in a Jacksonville Times Union article, describing their happy coincidence. You can read the whole article by clicking on the photo below.

Jerry did a fantastic job photographing this engagement session and we just had to share some of our favorites. We had a great idea for their save-the-date and brought along some chalk to announce their wedding date.

Megan and Greg are such a fun and down-to-earth couple. They were a pleasure to work with and he captured a wonderful variety of photos.

Hanna park is known for it’s freshwater lakes, large oak trees with Spanish moss, scenic nature trails and pristine sandy beaches with wood decked walkover, luscious sand dunes topped with magnificent sea oats. It’s one of our favorite locations for our engagement photo shoots because of it’s lovely backdrop diversity.

Megan and Greg are a couple of self-proclaimed “nuts”, so we of course had to capture Megan’s engagement ring with some nuts we found at the park. We love detail shots that incorporate the couples’ personalities!

We’re looking forward to photographing their wedding in April.

Location: The Reef Restaurant
Blair and David didn’t get the outside beach wedding they’d hoped for due to an unpredictable Florida thunderstorm, though they did get the partner of their dreams. Neither one seemed bothered by the last minute change of plans to bring the ceremony inside at the Reef. Their wedding was a cozy event with lots of fun and laughter and love. It was a pleasure to photography this special day and capture life as it really happens.

We wish the best for Blair and David in creating their future lives together.
