Spencer and Shanell’s Elegant TPC Sawgrass Wedding
TPC Sawgrass Wedding Photographer and Cinematographer | Karen and Jerry Favorite of Favorite Studios
With all this talk about the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass this week, we got to thinking about the past events we’ve photographed there. Hard to believe we never highlighted Shanell and Spencer’s beautiful wedding on our photo blog. Here are a few of our favorite shots from their special day.
Stunning Mediterranean Revival Style Clubhouse at TPC Sawgrass
In addition to being a home of The Players Championship, birthplace of the TPC (Tournament Players Club) with an ultimate golf course, a posh resort and spa, top notch dinning, TPC Sawgrass is also the perfect destination for weddings and special events.
Their beautiful TPC Sawgrass wedding was picture perfect with lots of lovely details. The ceremony was out on the garden lawn overlooking the fountain, lake and golf course. Rows of white chairs lined the isle with pops of pink and orange flowers and decorations.
Cutest ring bearer announcing “here comes the bride” with bells and a most adorable, little dog! The flower girls and bridesmaids were bright in pinks and purple dresses and sashes. The Florida sun and cool breeze made for the best outdoor ceremony.
The new Mr. and Mrs. enjoyed a romantic and festive reception dinner inside TPC Sawgrass’ elegant banquet hall.

Amy and Mike’s Beautiful Beach Ceremony + White Room Reception
St Augustine Wedding Photography and Cinematography | by Karen and Jerry Favorite | Favorite Studios
Wedding Day | Getting Ready at Marineland
Wow… what an amazing day from start to finish. Amy works at Marineland and dreamed of her perfect beach ceremony. So it was only fitting that they begin the day getting ready at her home away from home.
Beach Ceremony | River to Sea Preserve | Palm Coast, Florida
Here Comes the Bride! The sandy beaches of Florida are fantastic for a fall wedding ceremony. Amy and Mike exchanged “I dos” as the sun was setting, during the lovely golden hour. They had sunglasses for guests (what a great idea)! We loved all their little details and especially that they included their adorable dog in the wedding party.
Don’t be blinded by our LOVE. Amy and Mike are such an awesome couple! We got amazing photos and video of them among the coquina rocks along this stretch of beach which are absolutely stunning.
Reception | Rooftop and Loft at The White Room | Saint Augustine, Florida
And on to the party… After the beach we all headed on over to historic downtown St Augustine. A wonderful evening of dinner and dancing at the White Room. Beautiful flowers, beach decor and chalk signs. Lavenders and violets complemented the soft creams and grays for their color scheme. Lots of dancing on the rooftop and a grand exit with sparklers as a picture perfect finale.
Reviewed on WeddingWire and The Knot: “Highly recommended!! Photos and video turned out beautiful! Both Jerry and Karen were fantastic. I was a very laidback bride (maybe even too laid back), and they were amazing to work with! I would highly recommend for any occasion.” – Amy

Jacksonville Golf and Country Club Wedding | First Look + Ceremony + Reception
We love shooting at Jax Golf and Country. It’s a great venue for an outdoor ceremony with the perfect scenery, trees, flowers, pavers and more.
Michael and Shari our one of our favorite couples… so much fun to work with. Just radiant from the inside out. We are proud they chose Favorite Studios to capture all their very special moments. Jerry and Karen Favorite had the pleasure of being their photographers for their wedding day. And Jerry also got to photograph their engagement session on St Augustine’s sandy beaches back in 2016 – check them out!
Natural and real. We love it. Go “Team Bride”. It was the “Best party ever!”
Here’s a sweet review Shari left on WeddingWire that made our day! “We LOVED working with Karen and Jerry and highly recommend them! They delivered very quality photos and were so flexible and accommodating! We will definitely be working with them again!” -Shari

What a spectacular wedding event! It was such an honor to be Ashley and Brian’s Plantation Oaks Farms wedding photographer in Callahan, Florida this past spring.
Beautiful, Country Wedding
Ashley and Bryan Valentine had a super sweet spring wedding. Being typical Florida, the weather was unpredictable and showered the happy couple with some rain, some sunshine and even a rainbow. The bride and groom had the best spirits and didn’t let the rain dampen their special day. It was truly a dream wedding, with the rustic farm feel they wanted.
It’s all in the glorious details…
…blue suede shoes, diamonds + rings, stunning flowers, beautiful bouquets, country decor, dynamite wedding gown, and lots of smiles!
Most important is love…
Above all else, you can tell Bryan and Ashley have true friendship and love that will last forever. Their first touch was sweet and moving as they read notes they had written to each other. They have an amazing support of great family and friends that came together on this special day. God was listening too and the rain clouds parted long enough for the lovely outdoor ceremony under the large oak trees with hanging Spanish moss and green horse pastures in the background.
We did a lot of dashing in and outside for pictures, but it was totally worth it! Notice the wet, glistening walkway… the rain added an extra little sparkle, shine and reflection we love in photos.
Many wonderful elements at the reception made it so unique. Like their personalized “Ashley + Bryan Valentine” light display projection with wedding date and custom doggie bags to take home (a gift to guests furry friends). The spring decor and flowers were breathtaking. Soft mint green and pinks were the perfect balance to the rustic wood barn.
Fun reception with lots of music, dancing and even a special choreographed bridal party dance that was amazing. The colorful up-lighting and glow sticks added an extra festive flair through the celebration to the romantic last dance.

“I love Karen and Jerry! They are so sweet and truly care about capturing your memories! They have been the photographer for numerous friends and my sister’s wedding and have never disappointed. I had zero hesitation selecting them to photograph our wedding day! Very flexible as out wedding day rapidly changed with rain. I love that you never really hear or see them during the reception. They weren’t barking out orders or pulling us away from our reception. They allowed us to have a good time and still get fantastic shots! Very reliable and you will feel comfortable with them 🙂 Great people!!!!!!!!!!!” – Ashley Valentine | Review from WeddingWire

Andrea and Simran’s Gorgeous Indian Wedding | Photos by Jerry Favorite, St Augustine Wedding Photographer + Videographer
A lovely park ceremony at Plaza de la Constitución. Beautiful pictures around historic, downtown Saint Augustine and the landmark Bridge of Lions. Stunning reception in the Flagler Ballroom at Casa Monica. Rich with vibrant Indian traditions, decor and style.
We loved the bride’s amazing henna designs and jewelry. The traditional gold and red colors were festive and glamorous – from head to toe!
After photographing the bridal party around the Bridge of Lions, the happy couple made their way back to Casa Monica where guests awaited in the Flagler Ballroom. It was a perfect setting for their wedding reception. Magnificent decorations, breathtaking floral arrangements, lantern guest favors which also held the seating arrangements, opulent sweetheart table… everything was picture perfect.
No great cake cutting ceremony is complete without a knife, or in this case, Simran’s sword. While there were many Indian wedding traditions, we liked the “Lord of the Rings”. A fun wedding game ritual they played during the reception. Couples got to see who has the upper hand in the relationship by fishing out a ring from a dish of milk and rose petals.
What better way to end a dream wedding, than a sparkler exit down a cobble stone path. Guests along with the bride and groom departed on horse drawn carriages for an evening ride through historic downtown Saint Augustine, Florida. We were honored to have been chosen to photograph their special wedding and we loved that they couldn’t pick just one holiday greeting card. So they sent out a variety of all three festive photo cards wishing family and friends a wonderful year ahead!

Southern Charm Wedding Photography by Favorite Studios | Photographers + Cinematographers
Everything is Better in the South | We’ve been updating some of the photos and videos on our website and realized we never did a blog post of Flannery and Rob’s Southern charm wedding photography.
Jerry and Karen Favorite LOVED traveling to beautiful Beaufort, South Carolina to capture their special day. There is something about a military wedding that you will always remember. From the camaraderie and solidarity, there’s such a powerful sense of togetherness, friendship and love. Especially down here in the South.
This was a simple yet elegant spring wedding. Their color scheme of soft white and royal blue with gold accents was perfect for a military wedding. Flannery’s bouquet of flowers included bright yellow daffodils, a favorite of her’s. The bride and bridesmaids had lovely hairpieces with a pretty peacock feather. The gorgeous but “no-frills” lace strapless gown was topped off with a vintage fascinator (AKA veil)… and check out these cute wedge TOMS (for the bride that wants to be comfortable in her wedding day shoes)!
We were at the Parish Church of St Helena outside shooting some bridal party pictures when we got a personal flyover. It was an awesome surprise. The rain even stopped after the ceremony so they were able to do the Navy Arch of Sabers as they exited. Love the kiss under the swords.
Rob (who was from Jacksonville) and Flannery (who was stationed in South Carolina) came on down to Saint Augustine for their engagement session. Even though the weather was a little chilly and overcast, they got some amazing engagement photos. Jerry even did this love story video with pictures and recording of how they first met. If you have three minutes, check it out! This was one of the first engagement videos we did, but it’s so adorable and shows how they are as a couple… “real” and simply, wonderfully in love.

Beautiful Bowing Oaks Plantation | Favorite Studios Wedding Photographers
Picture Perfect Country Wedding Venue | We are in the mist of designing Dana & Brian’s lovely wedding album. As it brings us back to their magical day at Bowing Oaks Plantation in Jacksonville, we just had to share a few of our favorite pictures.
We love the Southern charm, country elegance and modern convenience of Bowing Oaks Plantation. Brian and Dana had their ceremony in the rustic outdoor pavilion… a lovely spot for their wedding vows.
Dana’s wedding gown was gorgeous and looked amazing handing from Bowing Oaks’ large mirror just outside their Dogwood dressing room. And Dana looks absolutely radiant on her wedding day. We loved the soft pastel colors accented with black mixed with a vintage style that was both comfortable and elegant.
Jerry and Karen Favorite had a blast being Brian and Dana’s Bowing Oaks Plantation wedding photographer. Coastal Coordinating did an amazing job making their day magical and just to their unique style. Check out this amazing wedding cake by Alley Cakes, stunning flowers by Anything with Plants & Flowers, and beautiful invitations and “Thank You” place cards from The Write Touch.

Southern Country Wishing Well Barn Wedding Photographer
Tiffany + Nick Say “I Do!” | Perfect Spring Wedding Celebration
It was a pleasure being a Wishing Well Barn wedding photographer in Plant City, Florida for Tiffany and Nick’s special day. This lovely location is a rustic yet romantic event venue for an outdoor country wedding ceremony, blueberry fields, farm and open barn for dancing and dining during the reception.
Southern charm was bountiful with a bright, shabby-chic decor and authentic barn in Hillsborough County. Country flower arrangements with mason jars filled with cut lemons, yellow flowers, greenery and soft baby’s breath. Loved the open fields, tall sunflowers, rustic details, elegant but country-casual table settings with burlap runners and details of lace, warm ivory, weathered woods, festive lights and twinkling chandeliers.
Tiffany and Nick are an adventurous, outdoorsy couple and the Wishing Well Barn was their dream wedding location. They had their first look by the farm yard fence with a row of majestic sunflowers. The bright sunlight streaming through tree leaves created a beautiful, natural setting. It was a picture perfect spring day to get married!
Tiffany’s 5-star photography review on WeddingWire was simply put and down-to-earth (just like this great couple), “Easy & pleasant to work with. Took a ton of engagement photos and even more wedding photos! All pictures were great, made it hard to choose favorites! Great ‘problem’ to have.” And on our Favorite Photography Facebook page posted, “Karen traveled 3 hours to shoot my wedding. My pics are posted and there a SOOO many good ones, my family, friends, husband & I, can’t decide which is our favorite! I seriously love them all! I’ve been reliving the day and the pictures bring a smile to my face each time I scroll through! Great job Karen!”

Ashley + Jamie | Hammock Beach Resort, Palm Coast Wedding Photos from their Romantic Destination Ceremony + Reception
The Hammock Beach is a stunning venue and was just perfect for their wedding celebration.
Thinking of having a destination wedding in Florida? Here is some wonderful insight and personal testimony from the bride: “Planning a destination wedding can be tough – but being in the hospitality business, my current husband and I were up to the challenge. After reading and comparing several vendor reviews on-line, we came across Favorite Photography who had consistently high ratings and reasonably priced packages. After trading a few e-mails with them, we were able to create a custom package which fit not only our needs but our budget as well. Their quick responsiveness and flexibility was going to be important in the planning of our big day and we wanted them to capture all of the special moments of our wedding day.
A few months following signing our contract we were able to travel to FL for an engagement photo session. We met Karen in downtown St. Augustine and spent the next 2-3 hours walking the quaint streets and historical locations of the area. Our pictures were wonderful and we still cherish that afternoon. Based on that experience we knew we were in good hands and our wedding day photography was going to be everything we wanted and probably more.
As many brides will tell you, most of the day is a blur and the only way you will be able to remember all of the things that happened are through your pictures. Well, they are right and thank goodness for Favorite Photography! Karen and Jerry certainly did not disappoint on our big day. They both arrived early and begin taking pictures of the many details we had included in our special day. About 3.5 weeks after the wedding, I received an e-mail stating that 2,233 photos were waiting in an on-line gallery for my review. After (2) nights of reviewing the photos I became (and still am) obsessed with the photos! They are without a doubt the most wonderful images I have ever laid my eyes on. This dynamic duo truly captured every moment including all of the things that we didn’t know happened and we never knew they were there.
My husband and I recently celebrated the holiday season with our families and we shared our photos with them. While all of the planning and execution of details was handled by other professionals, Favorite Photography captured every detail and we cannot thank them enough for all of their hard work that evening.” – Ashley
