Robert + Karla | Serenata Beach Club Wedding Photography
Ponte Vedra Beach Wedding Photographer | Favorite Studios | Photography + Cinematography
We were honored to be chosen as Karla and Robert’s photographers for their beautiful wedding day!
They had a perfect beach themed wedding that even a light rain showers could not dim. The clouds parted and the happy couple was able to have the beach ceremony they dreamed of out on the deck of Serenata Beach Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Karla selected lovely colors of soft lavender, vibrant purple, sea green and sky blue that offset her gorgeous white, mermaid wedding gown and Robert’s tan tux. Star fishes and sea shells were woven through the decorations and party favors to complete the beach motif.

Being a St Augustine family photographer is one of the most rewarding and fun jobs ever!!!
Karen enjoyed photographing the Hicks family at Vilano Beach when they visited Saint Augustine. And we thank them for letting us capture a little slice of their life!
They don’t call Florida the “sunshine state” for no reason! It is generally very bright out on the beach which is why recommend the “golden hour” before sunset for the most beautiful pictures. Morning time, during sunrise, is also an option, but that works well if your family are all “early birds”. With young children, it’s always best to work around their schedule as we want them to be happy and energetic. Trip plans and rainy weather (look out for sudden thunderstorms) can also affect the timing of a perfect family photo session. No matter the day, season or time, we will prevail.

San Marco Engagement Photography Session by Jerry Favorite
We love being part of a young couple’s journey and it’s very special to capture their feelings and emotions for each other. It’s one of the reasons we are so passionate about photographing engagement sessions. These are the pictures they will look back on years from now and say, “Wow, we looked awesome back then!” (only partly kidding) Really, it is a wonderful reflection to have images that express your relationship and tell the story of how it all began. Katrina and Daniel have such memories from their engagement photo session in the San Marco area of Jacksonville, Florida.
As we approach our 17th wedding anniversary, we reminisce about Jerry proposing to Karen on a romantic walk through San Marco after a delicious dinner at the then Café Carmon restaurant. If you scroll to the bottom of this post, you’ll see a flash back shot from our engagement session!
Colors are fabulous for making a photos express your personality (unlike our old-school white shirts and jeans). Blues and pinks look great (neon colors and bold contrasty patterns, not so much). As well as natural colors, like Katrina and Daniel’s olive green for a more modern, urban style. Though eventually styles do seem to come back into fashion… high-waisted, stone-washed jeans anyone?

Washington Oaks Gardens State Park | Palm Coast Engagement Photographer | Jerry Favorite
Angela and Craig are clearly one dynamic duo! Jerry had a blast working with them. Their engagement photo session had the best of both worlds at Washington Oaks with the lush green formal and rustic gardens, and the beach with coquina sand and rocks.
Photographers, Karen and Jerry Favorite of Favorite Studios Photography + Cinematography love shooting in Palm Coast, Florida.
The beautiful, romantic gardens at Washington Oaks State Park with the classic engagement style poses, and super fun, playful moments while frolicking on the beach. The holi powder added a powerful punch to their pictures. And after “cleaning up” in the ocean, Jerry captured some cool sparkler shots.

Fall Wedding Keeler Property | Amanda + Ryan | Photography by Karen + Jerry Favorite
Time certainly feels like it flies by way to fast, but there are those special events that we remember no matter how long it’s been. Amanda and Ryan’s wedding will be one of those for sure. From the amazing location of The Keeler Property venue to the perfect Florida weather in autumn, beautiful bride and groom, wonderfully fun friends and family, to their adorable decorations, details and party favors, it was a truly fabulous wedding. The Keeler bridge and barn was the ideal setting for their rustic wedding. The fall bouquets with wheat and sunflowers were just the right touch for a “Southern Charm” theme. And don’t forget Amanda’s cowgirl boots and adorable “Gettin’ Hitch” wagon for the flower girl!

Wonderful Atlantic Beach Wedding Photos | James and Christina
Jerry and Karen Favorite loved being their beach wedding photographer videographer team. James and Christina tied the knot in November. They are a fantastic couple and we were so happy to be chosen as their photographer and videographer to capture their elegant wedding. One Ocean Resort at Atlantic Beach was the prefect oasis for their beautiful beach ceremony and reception.
We loved the architectural design elements, modern details and hanging sculptures at the One Ocean Resort and Spa venue. Christina selected a stunning bridal gown with ornate lace over a strapless bodice creating sheer cap sleeves, a tulle skirt with modest train, chic silver shoes and a long flowing veil. The bridesmaids in Tiffany blue and soft mint green dresses looked perfect for a beach wedding. James, the groom, and his groomsmen were debonair in charcoal gray tuxedos and stylish with blue and green stripped socks.

Nocatee Wedding Photographers, Karen and Jerry Favorite, enjoyed capturing this perfect spring wedding at the lovely Crosswater Hall in Ponte Vedra, Florida. Eric and Meredith are such a sweet and fun couple! Their soft sunshine color pallet of yellows, whites and natural tones was a refreshing and happy look for their “Simple Southern” theme. St Augustine Wedding Photography | by Karen and Jerry Favorite | Favorite Studios
Nothing like a great love and a perfect wedding day of happiness with family and friends! Samantha was shared her and Chris’s story to go along with some of our favorite pictures from their St Augustine wedding photography at the historic Trinity Episcopal Church ceremony and beautiful White Room reception:
“We are High School sweethearts originally from Long Island, NY. After High School, Sam moved to St. Augustine to go to Flagler College while Chris went to school in New Hampshire. Two years later and after a few visits to the awesome city of St. Augustine, Chris transferred to Flagler to finish up his last two years of school. We graduated in 2011 and both landed teaching jobs. In the Spring of 2013, Chris proposed to Sam in beautiful Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. We were both so excited for our wedding, but never wanted anything too elaborate or crazy. Our ceremony was in the historic Trinity Episcopal Church that we love. This church is so quaint and beautiful! For our reception, we had looked at multiple places…originally wanting a backyard beach wedding to keep it fun and simple…but fun and “simple” was the opposite of what having a backyard wedding was turning out to be the more we looked into it!
We were so happy with having it at the Loft & Rooftop – we loved the exposed brick walls, wood floors, and of course the balcony overlooking the city that we had grown so much together in! This venue was perfect for our rustic/vintage wedding and the food is incredible to say the least. With over 100 of our guests being from out of state…we were thrilled they were getting to experience beautiful St. A for a few days! Everyone said that planning a wedding was stressful – and yes, at times it was a lot…. but all of the vendors we found made it so simple.
Our photographers, Karen and Jerry Favorite, were more than awesome! They were the first ones we sat down with when trying to find photographers and they seemed so professional, fun and easy-going that it was an easy decision. They know how to capture the best moments without you even knowing they are really there. They took a perfect mix of fun, candid shots, yet still were able to get all of the beautiful family/friends pictures we wanted. They also got so many shots of the “details” of our wedding! They are so fun and creative with the shots that they take. When creating our album we had to add extra pages because there were too many pictures we loved!
Our other vendors far exceeded what we had in mind as well. 57 Treasury did a beautiful job with our “wildflower” bouquets and centerpieces. They also were kind enough to let us borrow some of their unique pieces from their studio – pieces of driftwood, vintage votives for the tables, wine barrels, and so much more! They were a lot of fun to work with and added so much beauty to the overall night!
Sweet Weddings not only has the most delicious cakes, but they did a great job creating 3 small, beautiful cakes that tied in perfectly with the theme of our wedding.
Chillula was exactly what we had in mind as far as a live band for our rooftop wedding! They got everyone up and dancing and played songs that all of our guests knew and loved! Everyone had a blast and actually started chanting asking for one more song when the end of the night rolled in!
