Photo Posts of Engagement Photography

Our last instagram post of 2012! This year has been amazing for Favorite Photography, and this last month proved no different!

As you can see lots of fun filled our December! We loved all of our weddings and family sessions!

We had quite a few newborn sessions, and being around new life always brings joy! We created a lot of canvas gallery wraps for Christmas presents, and know how happy they made the recipients.

If we could have one wish for 2013 it is that all of the good from this past year could be  multiplied for this next year! Best wishes to you and yours!

We hope you love this video fusion of the colorful holiday lights at Jacksonville’s Friendship Fountain!

Jerry had a great time with Matt and Cara in Jacksonville’s Downtown and Riverside areas. The love this couple shares for each other can truly be seen in these engagement photos.

We always enjoy a good proposal story and asked the bride-to-be to share how her fiancé popped the question! Cara gave us their scoop:

We were in St. Simon’s Island, GA for a trip for my birthday. We spent a great weekend riding bikes around town, going to the beach and going kayaking in the rivers. The night before my birthday, we went on a dinner cruise. In the middle of the cruise, he took me outside to the top of the ship to look at the stars, said he had one more birthday present for me, got down on his knee and proposed. It was so sweet, and I was completely taken by surprise.

Well, of course she said yes and we’re so happy they chose us to photograph this special time in their lives! We’re as excited as Cara and Matt for their September 2013 wedding, and know it will be completely gorgeous.

Jerry did a fantastic job photographing this engagement session and we just had to share some of our favorites. We had a great idea for their save-the-date and brought along some chalk to announce their wedding date.

Megan and Greg are such a fun and down-to-earth couple. They were a pleasure to work with and he captured a wonderful variety of photos.

Hanna park is known for it’s freshwater lakes, large oak trees with Spanish moss, scenic nature trails and pristine sandy beaches with wood decked walkover, luscious sand dunes topped with magnificent sea oats. It’s one of our favorite locations for our engagement photo shoots because of it’s lovely backdrop diversity.

Megan and Greg are a couple of self-proclaimed “nuts”, so we of course had to capture Megan’s engagement ring with some nuts we found at the park. We love detail shots that incorporate the couples’ personalities!

We’re looking forward to photographing their wedding in April.

We had so much fun with Carmen and Miguel on their Jacksonville engagement session! We had a great day exploring the downtown area with this fun loving couple – they are so sweet together, don’t you think?

Downtown Jacksonville has classic and also unique locations, perfect for whatever kind of engagement pictures you are looking for. We first went to Memorial Park in historic Riverside and then moved down to Ortega’s scenic bridge over looking the St. Johns River.

Miguel is a Navy pilot, and the couple wanted to incorporate that into their session. (We love it when couples choose locations that mean something to their love story!) We had a blast shooting at NAS Jax and sharing a wonderful day with this awesome couple!

Jerry had so much fun with Angela and Todd at their engagement session at Washington Oaks Gardens State Park. They are a wonderful couple who love to have fun together!

Just look at Angela’s gorgeous smile! We loved how much they laughed together.

Nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and Matanzas River, Washington Oaks makes such a beautiful location for engagement pictures. The colors of nature are always amazing, especially within this coastal hammock filled with majestic live oak trees, flower gardens, exotic vegetation, and lovely footpaths!

We then headed to the beach side of the park to wrap up the engagement session with a breathtaking background of coquina rocks and crashing waves. There’s nothing like looking out on the ocean and thinking about the possibilities of your life together!

It’s always refreshing and an absolute joy to work with happy couples in love. Our typical engagement session lasts about two hours and during that time we have a chance to be an artist, creating original pieces of photographic art and memories. It’s like having a blank canvas when you start out with two people, whom which are not paid models, and end up with many little masterpieces.

Jordan and Brian are a great example of how wonderful an engagement
photo shoot can be when you’re with someone you adore. Even though it
was super windy that day in Saint Augustine, their devotion and deep
affection for each other shine.

Castillo de San Marcos makes a fantastic backdrop for photos with scarred masonry walls and bright green lawn.

Vilano Beach is a lovely, nearby spot for a total change up in locations with an outfit change and all in time to catch the sun as it begins to set.
